USER INSTRUCTIONS – RXFIT ARMSLEEVE

Measuring:

Step 1:  Measure the circumference at the narrowest part of the wrist. (Where hand ends and forearm begins)

Step 2:  Measure the widest circumference of the lower arm, right below the bend of the elbow.

Step 3:  Measure the widest circumference of the upper arm, just below the axillary fold.

Step 4:  Measure the length of the arm from the wrist circumference measuring point to the axilla (armpit). Be sure to measure on the inside of a straight arm beginning in the armpit.

For Glove and Armsleeve with Glove

Step 5:  Measure the circumference at the widest part of the hand above the thumb over the knuckles excluding the thumb.

Choosing the Correct Size:

Step 6:  Compare your measurements to the sizing chart on the package and find your size according to your specific measurements.

Step 7:  If there is a one size difference between lower and upper arm, choose the larger size. If there is a two size difference, order a “Made-to-measure” sleeve.  Any discomfort after fitment of the sleeve should be considered as a warning sign for immediate removal. Remove the sleeve immediately and go back to supplier for a better fit.

Fitting the RxFit Armsleeve

Step 1:  Hold the top of the sleeve with left hand, with the narrowest/ glove part of the sleeve facing away from you.

Step 2:  Insert your right hand, palm facing upwards.

Step 3:  Use your left hand to assist the right hand to reach the narrowest/ glove part of the sleeve, sliding the left thumb between skin and sleeve.

Step 4:  Consider folding the top of the sleeve over the bottom sleeve until the sleeve has doubled up with the top of the sleeve reaching the bottom (at the wrist). Now grip the double-layered mid-section (which is now the highest point) and pull the sleeve towards the shoulder until the hand is cleared and the narrow end reaches the wrist.

Step 5:  Now grab the widest part of the sleeve only (which is still at the wrist at this stage) and pull till just below armpit.

Step 6:  Make sure there are no folds in the sleeve. Manoeuvre the sleeve above and below to reach the best fit. Make sure there is no tourniquet!

For Armsleeve with Glove

Step 7:  Slip the thumb through the small opening in the fabric and the rest of the fingers through the larger opening.

Step 8:   Now pull sleeve upwards releasing material as you go.

Step 9:   Pull sleeve up to the axilla (armpit).

Step 10:  Ensure all folds are removed and material is smoothed out.

Important: No folds allowed in the sleeve. Never fold over onto it self! Sudden discomfort after fitment is a warning sign – Remove and revisit your supplier!

Fitting an RxFit Glove:

Step 1:   With the thumb opening of the glove showing upward, gently inserting the hand into the glove.

Step 2:  Slip the thumb through the small opening in the fabric and the rest of the fingers through the larger opening.

Step 3:  Pull glove over the rest of the hand. When used with an armsleeve, the wrist side of the glove should be pulled over the sleeve. This should leave you with a comfortable fit and not cause unnecessary pressure in the wrist area.

Step 4:  Remove all creases in the glove.

Important: No folds allowed in the top. Never fold over!

Removing the RxFit Glove/Armsleeves:

Step 1:  To take off, pull the top of the glove/armsleeve down towards the hand.

Step 2:  Pull down the glove/armsleeve, until resistance is experienced at the hand.

Step 3:  Insert two fingers between your palm and the material.

Step 4:  And push straight down and over the hand.

Step 5:  The glove/armsleeve will slip off comfortably.
